Summary
Into Orbit was developed as a modern take on the classic arcade game, Space Invaders. In the class Rapid Prototyping I, our team of 5 individuals built and iterated on the original game over a span of 3 weeks.
As part of the project requirements, this game was developed using Unity, directional pad and single button controls. This project took a lot of communication between teammates in order to quickly change design, engineering, and artistic implementations.

As Producer
As the Producer on our team of 5, I used Agile Scrum paired with Trello for task management. I started by using Discord to create communication channels for relevant areas in the project. I also led standups, planning meetings, and the game postmortem after our two-week development process.
Additionally, I found all of the royalty-free music and sounds included in our game since we did not have a dedicated sound designer.
We concluded the project with a presentation to the rest of our cohort and professors, for which I created and presented a one-sheet pitch. The end of this project also included posting the game to Itch.io.

Another teammate and I led the game's design discussions and specifications throughout the project. This particular project involved many iterations as it was based on the original Space Invaders arcade game. We conducted regular playtests to gather player feedback and used such in our design implementations. While maintaining the general simplicity of an arcade game, we were tasked with adding nuance and a modern twist.
